I found a great article on msnbc.com about Hillary Clinton's likely candidacy in the 2008 presidential campaign. The article discusses whether or not the electoral college would elect her as president. Now, all of this is still very up in the air, given that Hillary has not even announced her intention to run, but right now Bill is out and about, trying to make good on his past, um... indiscretions. So it begs the question of why he would make the effort to save face now, if they didn't have big plans for their future.
Personally, I agree with the article's point that Bill could totally get Hillary elected if they really wanted her to be president. The article briefly mentions that Bill's approval ratings are way higher than Bush's ratings, even given the scandals that dominated Bill's second term. I encourage everyone to read more about the Bush vs. Clinton polls here, because the comparisons are very interesting.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I was always kind of a bigger Hillary fan than a Bill fan, and I have a sneaking suspicion that everyone else involved in getting her a nomination for presidential candidacy feels the same.
