Any Good Listnen' Out There?

Does anyone out there know of awesome radio stations (out of anywhere except DFW) that offer live broadcasting over the internet?

I've been a huge fan of KNTU, the radio station out of UNT Denton for many many years. I was listening to it over the internet the other day (since the weak 88.1 frequency can't seem to make it into my work office) and it got me thinking. As I am not nearly cool enough to own snazzy gadgets like xm radio or satellite radio, I have next to no access to music other than what is on the radio here in Dallas. I Tunes radio is not helping me find cool Texas music, so perhaps someone out there can help.

FYI, http://www.kntu.unt.edu/ is where you can tune into what I usually end up listening to all day.

i wish i did know of some other radio stations. 95.3 is a good country station in the DFW area. have you ever tuned to it?

I agree, 95.3 The Range is the best station for good Texas music. It's got a wide variety of good tunes and you can listen to it online at www.khyi.com

from the great article on the town of marfa in the big bend area on friday october 27 in the dallas morning news, they mentioned www.marfapublicradio.org.
i just plugged it in and they are playing really great
local texas and texana music. pretty cool.

You might also check out the new Lonestar 92.5 format of KZPS in Dallas ..... Lots of Texas country and rock artists there, along with very few commercials. There are articles recently in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal about this new Clear Channel experiment. It's also streamed on the internet www.lonestar925.com.

I agree - 95.3 is very good, too.
