So, I know it’s already been done, by everyone and their dog – Kristine on myspace, Oprah, Pam from the office, but I can’t help it, I just have to post a list of my favorite things. Maybe it’s because of the holiday gift-giving season and the fact that I’ve been shopping WAY too much lately. Nevertheless, here are some of my most favorite (and kinda random) things in the world. In no particular order.
Corelli's Mandolin – you will fall in love with the characters. It's an amazing book and I was devastated the second I finished it because I already missed each character from the novel.
The War of Don Emmanuel's Nether Parts – this book is written in magical realism and it's so much fun. I loved and hated characters in this book and cried more than once.
Actually almost ANY book written by Louis de Bernieres is going to be great. He has two sequels to Don Emmanuel's Nether Parts which are also great, but not quite as good.
My other favorite author - Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Love in the Time of Cholera is one of my favorites (about unrequited love), but is not as good as… One Hundred Years of Solitude – This is also magical realism, and you will definitely fall in love with the characters. They live for hundreds of years in this small town in South America and it's such a beautiful story of family. I loved it.
White Oleander – it's so poetic and pretty and so well written. The story is good, but sad.
The Princess Bride is of course my all time favorite in the world. I can quote you the entire thing. And Shelly, if you don't watch it soon, Tony and I are going to perform the whole thing for you ourselves. And trust me, you do not want that.
O.A.R. Heard the World Live from Nokia Theater with backup singers is the prettiest song I've ever heard. Find it on itunes under the Heard the World EP cd.
Lucky You Lucky Brand Perfume I love the way this smells. And the price isn't too bad either.
Burberry London - "Product Description - Burberry's new fragrance embodies the elegant, yet modern spirit of Burberry London. It epitomizes the cosmopolitan London lifestyle with independence and relaxed confidence." Ya, I couldn't think of anything to say, but I seriously do love it!
Talika Lipocils Eyelash Conditioning Gel - Great for your eyelashes. Kinda pricey, but it really does make your eyelashes stronger and thicker.
Aveeno Clear Complexion Correcting Treatment It's both a blemish treatment and acne scar remover. Which I believe is the most genius combination ever.
Lemon Butter Cuticle Crème This stuff RULES in the winter when your cuticles get dry and start breaking. It feels amazing and smells great.
Tart Mini Cheekstain set These cheek stains are awesome!! The colors are a perfect variety for everything in your wardrobe. The stains are so natural looking, it's as if your cheeks naturally glow all day long. Even the glitter one is such a pretty color on, you'll want to wear it every day, and it even smells great!
Benefit Ooh La Lift This "instant eyelift" really is just that. The liquid cools, de-puffs, and firms the bags under your eyes and feels awesome.
Shu Uermura Eyelash curler Best eyelash curler I've ever owned. I'm not sure what makes it so special, but my eyelashes are STICK straight and I go through curlers a lot, but this has been my favorite for a while.
DuWop Lip Venom. Another of my most favorites, this lipgloss stings when you put it on, but "Beauty is Pain" and after you use this, your fabulously pouty, sultry lips will SO be worth the pain!!
BonneBell Lip Smakers in Vanilla has been my favorite for as long as I can remember. I always have one on me at all times.
Heroes RULES! It's a show about these regular people who suddenly have special powers (think X-Men without the outfits) and are trying to save the world from a nuclear explosion in NYC. SO cool!
An awesome Heroes fansite
And of course The Office is just too funny to miss.
Lastly, I am still ridiculously addicted to Grey's Anatomy. Even though Meredith bugs the living crap out of me, I can't stop watching.
The Sims -- Insanely addictive. You get to create characters and build them a house and decorate it. Then watch them interact with each other. You can find them jobs and throw parties with their neighbors, they can have babies or learn how to play the guitar. But, the absolute best part is when you find the cheat codes and put millions of dollars in their bank accounts. Then you can build on to your house and decorate it with the expensive furniture, build pools and get all the stuff you'd love to have in real life, but can't afford. Oh, it's also fun to mess with your Sim's head by not letting him sleep or shower for days. Good times. Good times.
Wine:
Clos Du Bios – I love their Pinot Noir, and my sister Pam loves the Chardonnay!! The grocery store has been selling the Pinot for about $26 a bottle lately, but if you go to the Goody Goody nearest you, you should be able to find it for about $15 to $18!!
Books - I have so many favorites in this category, it's not even possible to list them all. Here are the ones I recommend you run out and buy and read right this very second:
Corelli's Mandolin – you will fall in love with the characters. It's an amazing book and I was devastated the second I finished it because I already missed each character from the novel.

Ok, so that's probably enough for now. I hope you all have as much fun shopping as I do. And if not, please call me and I'll do all your shopping for you. For a small fee of some Bonnebell lip gloss perhaps…
*Special thanks to my genius boyfriend Tony for teaching me how to do all these crazy links and spacing stuff. He's awesome!! (But just so you all know, I picked it up like THAT (and I just snapped my fingers.) :)
